Hello, I won't have time to test this RC3 before mid next-week and yet with modest load.
Anyway, I already heavily tested with high load (~15 topologies running on a 5 Supervisor VMs cluster with Kafka 0.10.2.0 libs against a Kafka 1.0.1 cluster) with Storm 1.1.2 RC2 (previous Release candidate) with Stig's latest fixes on Storm Kafka Client. Results are very good in term of stability (better than with 1.2.0), and performance is same as with Storm 1.2.0 (our current production setup). We have issues with Kafka Spout (we need time to give detailed feedbacks) which are not regressions, and thus nothing blocker for 1.2.2 RC3.
