    @clockfly , Just let you know that I keep the 
topology.executor.send.buffer.size and the 
topology.executor.receive.buffer.size unchanged which are both 1024. And the 
netty.server/client.worker_threads are both set to 1, and 
storm.messaging.netty.buffer_size is set to 5242880
    
    I think this discuss will help us understand the issue much better.
