I am not a windows expert, but the code looks like it would work. @ptgoetz
do you have a windows box of a VM that you could test this out with?
Also @makearl it would be great if you could file a JIRA for this too. And
then update the title of the pull request to include the JIRA number
(STORM-12345 for example).
