Is it possible to use Log4j 2 with Storm 0.9.0.1?

Is it possible to use Log4j 2 with Storm 0.9.0.1? My purpose is to use
asynchronous Loggers for low-latency logging that comes with Log4j 2. Does
anybody tried that?
