The existing hooks API only makes sense at the level of storm core components.

I tried adding them anyway but that didn't fly, but I still want hooks! It's
not clear to me how granular a hooks API for Trident. There could be
operation-specific hooks (e.g. methods specifically for aggregators, functions,
spouts, etc) or perhaps there is a more generic way of inserting hooks.
