Head commit for run: 420903d2e44ef9d7c1e4daa02a177f0a96a71400 / Julien Nioche <[email protected]> Add SpoutBenchmark to measure the read performance of spouts Runs one or more instances of a spout against a backend populated beforehand, for a given number of minutes, and passes every URL emitted straight to instances of a status updater bolt as FETCHED, so that it is rescheduled and acked to the spout. Reports the number of URLs emitted and the number of unique ones among them every minute and at the end. Each instance has its own task and thread, as a Storm executor would; a spout is only called from its thread, including for the acks and fails, and honours topology.max.spout.pending. The URLs are routed to the status updaters based on their hash, as a fields grouping does. The benchmark utilities are excluded from the JaCoCo coverage as they are run manually against a live backend.
