Hi Martin, I think this is very similar to the patching model we discussed couple of months ago. It is not yet implemented.
In graceful shutdown mode, an instance is sent to maintenance mode before it is terminated. However it is not the maintenance mode you are referring to. @Reka will be able to provide a better answer about that.
