Hi All, If the discussion in $subject already happened and a conclusion reached, please excuse me. I quickly cruised through dev list and might have missed it.
It will be easier for the project to make a decision now on if all commmitters be on PPMC (PMC once the project graduates) or if the project prefers to keep the PPMC (PMC) a smaller subset for better manageability. Increasingly, newer projects choose a model of PPMC=committers, but there are good arguments on both models. It will be ultimately the project (now podling) to decide what they would like to adopt. [1] defines these roles, and a big notable difference is PPMC (PMC) has the binding vote in decisions and committters do not. So here is a thread to get some discussion going and if we are leading to consensus, then vote on the policy and document it on project website and bylaws.
