Hi, Infra has activated a new "always require approval for external contributors" policy. This means that all Github actions workflows in PRs from contributors who or not PMC members or committers need to be manually started. I personally think that this doesn't fit very well with our development model - I typically only review PRs after all checks were executed successfully so I don't see any advantage here and it will also slow down our PR process.
There were already some tickets from other projects asking for an exemption of this new policy, e.g., Beam [1] and Airflow [2]. Should we also ask for an exemption? Cheers Dominik [1] https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-24200 [2] https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-24201
