I believe counting zeros is a poor way to do this. We need to change the
interfaces so we don't have to launch perpetual streams that are actually
finite. Please refer to the list server to email discussion concerning this
issue. Fixing this is just a temporary hack. Whoever removed the counting
zeros was probably just trying to run a perpetual stream but couldn't due to
the counting zeros (I have run into this issue too). We need to make new
interfaces.
