I am 100% in favor of having serialization of documents originating with a
source provider implemented in that providers module rather than in a
multi-channel provider module, wherever the schemas and observed datums are
exactly the same. Where multi-channel providers like datasift, sysomos,
moreover, etc... have dependencies on source providers like twitter, facebook,
instagram, ideally those dependencies should be <optional/> true
The streams-provider-instagram serializer is templated against
MediaFeedData and other classes in org.jinstagram.entity, which contain gson
not jackson annotations, so I would not expect it to be perfectly compatible
with the instagram json fragments supplied by datasift. Willing to open a
ticket to see if this can be done.
