I'm not understanding your objection. I was suggesting that Struts need
not duplicate validation implementation code also found in
commons-validator, but instead retrieve validation errors from
ValidatorResults. This recommendation changes implementation details,
yes, but the user would not be affected, and if anything, their
experience would be simplier for creating new Validators as they would
be more re-useable outside Struts.
