That would be excellent, Ted. That would let us all learn SVN as well as
play around with ideas without fear of messing things up too badly. ;-)

If I could have found the time, I'd been thinking I wanted to do something
like this too, except that I don't have any externally visible hardware. ;-(

I'm hoping that it wouldn't be too terribly long before we have something
we're mostly happy with in a new repo, so that a 1.2.x branch wouldn't have
got too far ahead of the experimental repo. On the other hand, I think it
would be good to assume that we'll want to transform the tree more than once
before we're done. ;-)

BTW, Fitz has been working on a much-improved cvs2svn tool. Not sure what
state that is in right now, but I can find out.
