Virtually everyone who uses validator probably has at least two validation xml 
files as I'm sure you did in the version that worked - the *standard* 
validation-rules.xml plus your own custom validation.xml. So the problem is not 
having more than one.

Quite what your problem is no-one can tell because you don't give enough 
information - saying "my application doesn't start" isn't enough. Check your 
logs for error messages, check that the second validation2.xml file is a 
correctly formed xml file according to the tld for validator.

Just because something doesn't work, doesn't mean its a *bug* in Struts and 
more often than not its something we've done wrong. Rather than raising a *bug* 
report against Struts could you please post problems like this to the user list 
first.

Raising *Bugs* is not the best way to get help - asking questions on the user 
list is.
