Lets I'd rather keep everything onlist rather than offlist - thanks. Firstly I'm not *doing* anything except taking part in a debate and posting opinions/code samples on the wiki. I don't understand the reference to *butchering* your code. Your code stands as you posted it on the wiki unchanged by me, all I did was post an alternative code sample to that wiki that I believed was a more elegant implementation of your idea. I also posted a possible class in bugzilla (bug 31270) which combined your idea and Hubert's suggestion. I only created a bugzilla entry because IMO its easier to attach something rather than pasting it in the wiki.
I am now regretting taking part in this debate at all, have no plans to do anything on struts in this area and have closed the bugzilla ticket. You are free to have any input you like, but please not with me off list and you're free to join in any discussion in bugzilla - I'm certainly not going to stop you having a voice.
