I'm not saying that we should create the v2 path now, I'm just saying we should make the provision. Since we are reorganizing everything that been imported anyway, it would be just as easy to reorganize it in a way that allows for parallel development. Even without the current discussions, which I believe will bear fruit one day, many projects like Tomcat and HTTP have needed to support parallel development, and it seems like a best practice to allow for it from the beginning.
