The reason is that one of the fields is a password and AFAIK, passwords should only travel from the user's browser to the server and never back to the browser (even though the browser might mask them with ***. Sure, it is protected by https from 3rd Parties, but at least myself walking off for a coffee without the screen-lock and someone navigating backwards to the password-page would find it with "View-Source").
