That should work fine, as long as 1.3 is going to be based on Servlet 2.3 or later. Tweaks to un-JSF-ize this would be quite small.

Also, it seems unfortunate that ShaleWebContext appears to be already
nailed to the servlet API, rather than usable with portlets as well.



As soon as I can prove to myself that you can really use filters in a portlet environment, I'll make it work for that too (adding the portlet API jar as a dependency, of course).
