...where can I download the current chain-based binary distribution? I'm looking all through the Struts site but I must be dense tonight (I'll blame my kids running around yelling at the top of their lungs) and I can't find what I'm looking for...

but they're not currently working. As soon as James gets everything wrapped up, we should be able to get them back on track.
In the meantime... nightly source drops are still being assembled, but as you've seen in discussions today, it's not necessarily clear if they'll be easy to build:

as of just a few days ago, I *was* able to do "maven jar" from SVN for struts-core, struts-tiles, and struts-taglib with no problems. We may be in an intermediate state just now, though.
In short, not such a dumb question.
