I've followed through on the first steps of my proposed action plan:
* Moved the old "sandbox/tiles" to "sandbox/tiles-original" to get it
out of the way without losing any information.
* Did an "svn copy" from "tiles" to "sandbox/tiles" to form the
basis for a standalone Tiles that is based on the latest and
greatest Trunk code.
* Did package refactoring and such to the point where the
"sandbox/tiles" package compiles cleanly, but hasn't been
tested yet.
I'll certainly need to add a TilesServlet replacement for
configuration processing, and I wouldn't be surprised if there are
bunches of other details that need to be cleaned up -- but at least
the initial re-refactoring work is done.
Thanks Craig. I agree with the plan you set forth. I'll get the
remaining steps done this weekend.
