The shale view controller to a managed bean is a one to one with a view id but there is nothing to stop you from creating as many managed beans as you wish. From the view controller, you can get to any managed bean using the utility method "getBean(managed-bean-name)". The shale subview component also provides additional events fired back on the view controller.
