If this is the future direction of Struts, then it's pretty foolhardy to call it the "action
framework"? Call it the chain framework, but that sounds pretty lousy ;-)

"Action" refers more to a style of development and organization than to a specific class. "Action" describes the fact that the organizational focus is on coding request handling paths as opposed to wiring together components and events (as in Shale).
