ARRGH. This jar should *definitely* not be included unless you know you are going to execute on a JDK 1.5 platform. The shale-tiger.jar file should be omitted not only here, but on all the sample apps that do not require 1.5. The interesting question is whether we need to have a different "shale-blank" architecture (platform dependent) that pays attention to details like this.
