I wasn't at JavaOne, but my understanding was that everyone has bought
into doing whatever we can to have a stable release in the August
timeframe.

My question is this: If not now, then when?

Are people ready and willing and able to do the work, or not?

I don't care if we make the big changes in 2.0 or 2.1. If someone else
does, then now is the time to step up to the plate and make it so.
