Hey, I'd say be selfish. Be very selfish. The whole point of
attracting committers from diverse employers is so that we become a
working expert group of what sites like infoq, and Atlassian, and
Google, and hostedqa, and a dozen others need in real life. If any of
our own projects need something, then it's a good bet that several
thousand other projects need it too.
I guess this may be a good assumption, but I am rather the type of
developer that really like to hear what users/clients are needing and
not assume that what I know is correct or representative.
