I don't really like the sounds of tiles:putAttributeList, and since it has nested putAttribute elements in it, I'm ok with leaving it alone. Either way is ok with me.
I've never had a use case for tiles:putList, so I am agnostic about this. I can make these changes, although I'm not totally up to speed on Tiles development, the move to TLP, etc; if someone who has been more active wants to do it, I'll gladly defer.
