I'll print and fax a CLA immediately.

Will I have to do anything more but sit back and wait until certain rights have been granted to me in Confluence?

As I understand it, you say that it's possible to leave comments on the (but not edit) WW pages without having signed the CLA, so although I had already thought about leaving comments for suggested changed on which I'm not sure, but it seems that it's not enough just to be a newly created confluence user. I don't have the option to "Add comment" to the WW pages when logged in unlike S2WIKI where adding comments is possible.

Best wishes,

As it stands, we have two spaces under Confluence. One is used to
create the "official" documentation (WW) that we bundle with the
release, the other is used as a conventional wiki (S2WIKI).

Since a snapshot of the WW space is distributed as part of the
release, a volunteer must first file a Contributor's License Agreement
(CLA) with the foundation.

* http://www.apache.org/licenses/index.html#clas

Once a CLA is on file, then we would be able to grant write access to
the space.

You could also just add comments to the WW wiki pages in question.
There's a daily alert, and we could use that to find and resolve the
comments.
Hi

I am currently reading through the whole bunch of newly released Apache
2 docs and have stumbled on a few errors on the first pages.

I'd like to volunteer to fix all errors that I find. To do this, I have
already signed up at cwiki.apache.org (username "normann"), but it seems
that I need some kind of permission to edit the pages on the Wiki. Is it
possible to get this permission?

I would rather fix the errors directly in the Wiki instead of filing bug
reports, or whatever options there might be to do this. This way, I keep
the time I need to work on this down to a minimum.

Best wishes,
Jan Normann Nielsen
