I was referring to some earlier mail threads, "[s2] Pluggable URL building proposal (http://www.mail-archive.com/dev@struts.apache.org/msg26942.html)" and "[S2] Experimental Features" (http://www.mail-archive.com/dev@struts.apache.org/msg26342.html) where some issues were discussed that need to be resolved before the portlet code can be extracted from the core.
