Not really; I had just barely started to convert the existing 2.1 plugin to jQuery then decided it really wouldn't help me very much. You're welcome to join the project [1] and help out; my time is pretty limited at the moment but I hope to get some of the basics working for the simple use-cases. I probably won't contribute much beyond the basics, because only the most basic stuff is useful as a tag for me.
