Robots.txt is the de-facto standard for controlling what gets indexed (http://www.robotstxt.org/)

Maybe there should be a robots.txt with;

User-agent: *
Disallow: /2.x

in the struts.apache.org webdoc root, and possibly add the noarchive tags to the
pages as a double check
(http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=35306)

I'd rather it wasn't the first Google hit, but I wouldn't know how to go about changing that.

Twice now on the user list there have been questions about unreleased
Struts 2.1 versions.

Unfortunately, the first hit for 'Struts 2' is the
http://struts.apache.org/2.x *draft* docs index page, and that's how
they're finding  it.

Can we plaster a big "DRAFT" at the top of that page, or otherwise
rearrange things to convince Google that these are not the docs it is
searching for?

Maybe taking those links off the menu and putting them one level down
(linking instead to a page that links to them) would help. Other
ideas?
