I can reproduce it with the showcase app, but there seem to be limited to uploading certain binary files (I'm running Vista SP2, Chrome 2.0.172.39, Sun JDK 1.6.0_14, Tomcat 6.0.18 and the upload showcase is at http://localhost:8080/struts2-showcase-2.1.6/fileupload/upload.action in case that's the cause of anything).
To reproduce fire up the showcase, point chrome at the Fileupload sample and try uploading the file you can download from http://andappstore.com/AndroidApplications/apps/125845!download (it's OK, my company owns the copyright on that file, so there are no problems with redistribution). I get a "File cannot be empty" error message every time. Other users of the site have reported the same problem with some of their uploads. If I try it with a small text file everything is OK, and some other files work and some don't, but the file I've given you to download seems to trigger it every time on Chrome yet works fine on Firefox, IE, and Safari. >From what I'm seeing I'm pretty sure it's a Chrome problem, but I expect it's >going to be biting other people so if someone has a quick workaround it may be >useful to publish it on -users. Al, I recently started running Chrome, but I don't have any apps that use s:file. If you have a smallish app, I can try it out if you want to email me a zip. Not sure if it makes a difference, but I'm running it on linux amd64. -Wes On Thu, Aug 20, 2009 at 2:05 AM, Al Sutton<a...@funkyandroid.com> wrote: > Has anyone tried Google Chrome with the s:file JSP tag? > > I've got a form which works with IE, Safari, and Firefox, but fails with > Chrome (the submitted file isn't passed through to the File object in the > action). > > I'm just wondering if it's something in my form or a wider problem that I > should put a bug in the bug database about. > > Al. > > -- > > * Written an Android App? - List it at http://andappstore.com/ * > > ====== > Funky Android Limited is registered in England & Wales with the > company number 6741909.
