I am sorry that I didn't bring this up during the discussion thread, but since I voiced an opinion of using this approach in another thread, I thought I would check the plugin that is in the sandbox. It indeed extends our object factory and everything looks good, however I have a problem with using weld as a dependency since it is pointing to a repository that is not maven central. This is a testing dependency, so I am not going to get in the way, but I would much rather see us using something available in maven central like simple-jndi:simple-jndi...
-0 according to - http://www.apache.org/foundation/voting.html a '-0' means - 'I won't get in the way, but I'd rather we didn't do this.' And this is simply because I don't trust repositories other than maven central and I think as an artifact managed within apache-space we should be following "best practices" wherever possible. I am not sure if I can find any specific documentation mentioning that using the central repository is a "best practice," but central has policies that they are at least attempting to enforce on licensing, versioning, etc. Additionally, is is the only repository that we (apache) have significant influence over. -Wes On Wed, Jul 27, 2011 at 11:24 AM, Rainer Hermanns <herma...@aixcept.de> wrote: > +1 > great to see this pushed :) > > cheers, > Rainer > > Am 27.07.2011 um 13:41 schrieb Łukasz Lenart: > >> Hi all, >> >> CDI plugin was developed sometime ago by Rene and it was used with >> success, so it's the time to move it from sandbox to trunk. >> >> https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WW-3617 >> http://struts.1045723.n5.nabble.com/Re-jira-Commented-WW-3474-JSR-330-javax-inject-implementation-in-Struts2-td4357886.html >> >> >> Regards >> -- >> Łukasz >> + 48 606 323 122 http://www.lenart.org.pl/ >> Warszawa JUG conference - Confitura http://confitura.pl/ >> >> --------------------------------------------------------------------- >> To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@struts.apache.org >> For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@struts.apache.org >> > > Rainer Hermanns > aixcept > Willibrordstraße 82 > 52134 Herzogenrath - Germany > w: http://aixcept.de/ > t: +49 - 2406 - 979 22 11 > f: +49 - 2406 - 979 22 13 > m: +49 - 170 - 343 29 12 > > -- Wes Wannemacher Head Engineer, WanTii, Inc.
