New to open source

Hello to all Developers,I'm a beginner in Java with limited knowledge about it 
and improving it everyday. I really want to start contributing to open-source 
development. And I found Struts project quite appealing. But have no idea how 
to start about it.Any Suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Hope to get some 
help.
