A safer bet maybe one of the JSR 330 complaint offerings, albeit more
complex like the Guice.

That's true, but the existing @Inject conflicts with JavaEE @Inject,
also it doesn't support different types of constants, all of them have
to be Strings with conversion made in target class.
Anyway, maybe there is a place to copy some ideas (once license has
been added :)
