I agree with this. We want to preserve the explicit fetch approach that ra_serf takes now, if only so that we can avoid redundant fetches (a decision that only the client can reasonably make). If we get the whole proxy bonus for unencrypted connections someday, too, great. But I'm not holding my breath... -- C.
