There already exist issues for this feature, in two different flavours: http://subversion.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=3625 http://subversion.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=3625 These are backed by active developers so chances of something happening in this area are quite good.
