If the date is so simple and agreed upon, then why can't we just say what it is so that there is no confusion? I could easily be off by a week, if Hyrum interprets it as I will make the tarball on that date, as opposed to I will make the tarball early enough that we can release on that day. The main date I care about is when the tarball will be available. I know Hyrum cannot predict the signatures and we have been really inconsistent on those lately. That said, I think making it clear to everyone when the tarball will be available and the schedule we want to follow for release might help smooth that out.
