Hi,
i have observed a strange thing on a windows machine....
I have substituted a working copy with a drive in Windows (subst)...
lets say working copy on D:\wc\test-checkout now i done a subst X:
D:\wc\test-checkout...
If i try to do a checkin in the root of the X: drive X:\ i got messages
like (translated by me i had a german message...):
Sending X:/test.txt
Transfer data .svn: transfer successful, but other error follow:
svn: Error during forwarding the revision after the transfer (details
follow):
svn: in directory X:...
svn: ..name attribute missing in log-entry...
After that the working copy can't be used anymore svn cleanup does not
work neither with svn CLI nor with TortoiseSVN....
Next test i did was to substitute the drive X: not directly with the
working copy root using a level higher..
subst X: D:\wc
now gone on X:
X:\test-checkout:
and now the commit is working ...without any problem..
I have done some research and found an very old entry about a crash in
SVN 1.4 (http://svn.haxx.se/users/archive-2006-10/1224.html)...
The question is: Can someone give me more detailed information about that ?
I just want to know why it's that way...
Many thanks in advance...
Kind regards
