There are outstanding backport nominations in 1.7.x/STATUS, is your
patch needed even after merging them?

And on another note -- does the test suite pass?  I've seen odd
behaviour with the tests last week and haven't had time to investigate
yet.  (Either neon/bdb or serf/bdb.)
