You probably want the systray patch: http://dwm.suckless.org/patches/systray If you want to change the text in the top-right corner, you can use `xsetroot -name "Some text here."` or use the X11 functions to write your own application as documented at http://dwm.suckless.org/dwmstatus/ . Eric
