Applied with some minor stylistic changes:

       if (iflag && signal(SIGINT, SIG_IGN) == SIG_ERR)
               eprintf("signal:");

as opposed to

       if (iflag && (signal(SIGINT, SIG_IGN)==SIG_ERR))
               eprintf("signal:");
