I'm going to print this and hang on the wall :D In all seriousness, ii is more of a library for use with shell scripts and custom plumbing than a fully-featured client. It can also be a base for a client you'd build. For example, try splitting a tmux window horizontally, putting "out" in the upper half, and "in" in the lower. The fact that ii is a standalone executable might be misleading. When you type in "cat" and hit enter, you shouldn't expect a manual either. As far as documentation goes... Well, IMHO... Documentation for all suckless projects... hm, kind of sucks. K.
