I'd like to call for a discussion on SIP-182, "Semantic Layer Support in
Apache Superset":

This proposal introduces changes to Superset to better support semantic
layers and external data modeling systems. While semantic layers are
nothing new, there's been renewed interest (especially when coupled with
AI), including a joint effort to create an open standard
