Hi,

taking care of a migration project I stumbled over the following behavior in TextTables:

(1)
If you have a sum-formula in cell B4 =sum<B1:B3> and you insert a line after the cell B1, the formula expands to =sum<B1:B4>.

(2)
If you insert the line after the cell B3, the formula doesn't change.

(3)
If you delete the line containing B3, the formula will show ** incorrect expression ** (translated).

Normally, it's no problem to adapt the formula. But if you have dozens of *templates* the user has to fill, he is expecting a behavior like the sum(above) field in MS Word.

So, wouldn't it make sense to change the behavior in all cases to the behavior in (1)? I see no reasons to argue against adapting the formula automatically in cases of inserting/deleting lines above the sum formula.
Or do we need a sum(above) formula too?

Any comments?

Regards

Peter
