  We are RedOffice team.there is some bugs that we found in the OOo2.1.
  these bugs can be described as follows:
Setting width of the column in text table is wrong after merge cells. 1.Create a new Text Document;
  2.Insert a table;
  3.Merge two transverse cells;
  4.locate the cursor in a random cell at the same line of the merged cells;
  5.Click the right button and set the width of the column;
  Result:The width of the cell which the cursor is in is changed but the width
of the whole column of this cell is not changed.

To judge from the current code, this seems to be intended. If the table is not a simple m x n table, setting the column width can have two meanings: setting the width of the whole table column or setting the column widths of the current row only. Which of these alternatives is chosen depends on the line the cursor is currently located in. To set the width of a whole table column, you can select the column and set the column width. However, I have to admit that the current behavior is somewhat surprising. So you should file a "request for enhancement" if you think this needs to be improved.

  The display of some numbering item are overlaped with the line in the
'Numbering type' label.
  1.Create a new Text Document;
  2.Format->Bulltes and Numbering->Numbering type;
  3.look at some numbering item;
  Result:Some numbering item are overlaped with the line.

I guess you mean the numbering preview controls. Please submit an issue for this.

  Can't correctly judge the ending position of the hyperlink field in Text
Document.
  1. Create a new Text Document and input some words;
  2. Select these words, insert->hyperlink->select the "document" option->select a file
using the "open file" button;
  3. "apply"->"close" ;
  4. Locate the cursor in the end of the hyperlink field, then input several
words;
  Result: the words later inputed are also have the attribute of hyperlink and
connected with the former hyperlink.

The hyperlink attribute is inserted as expanding attribute. I think it should be possible to insert the hyperlink attribute as a non-expanding attribute in case there is some text selected. However, there is an easy workaround for this: Type <ctrl>+<shift>+<space> (which is the shortcut for "default formatting". Please submit an issue for this if you think the current behavior needs to be improved.

  The text table cell can't be spanned correctly after setting the text
direction.
  1.Create a new Text Document,"table"->"insert"->"table", set the "column" is 5 and the row
is 5-> "OK";
2.Locate the cursor in the table; 3."Table"->"Table properties", select the "Text Flow" option group, set the "Text direction" as "Right-to-left(vertical)"-> "OK";
  3.Locate the cursor in a random cell at the same row with the cell that have been set
in step2, but not the same cell, then press "Enter" key until the cell is out
to another page;
  Result: the row is displayed in anther page, and the cell can't be spanned
correctly.

Well, this behavior is intended. Please have a look at our main competitor, this behavior is kind of standard. So I actually don't consider this a defect.

  The "Crtl+A" can't select all when the Text document contain a catalogue.
  1.Create a new Text Document;
  2.Locate the cursor in the first row;
  3."insert"->"Indexes and Tables"->"Indexes and Tables"-> "OK";
  3.Input several lines of words under the catalogue;
  Result:Using "Ctrl+A",only the catalogue is selected.

This is a known issue, see i17949.

Best regards,

Frank
