Hello, For enhancement of grid layout, a Japanese project has accomplished an experimental implementation [1], [2].
Its approach is somewhat different from the one of the issue i76247 [3], but what we want to achieve is same - more interoperability with other software applications. How can we manage to merge both efforts? i76247 addresses to enabling or disabling snap-to-character while the project introduces a new grid layout based on character spacing.
