This is no advertisement. It's branding. Advertisement is "hey, I have a cool app, please purchase it, you can find it here: ... !". Branding is "thanks for using my cool Add-On. If you see this icon it shows you that I'm currently doing some useful work for you!". We had two choices for spell and grammar checking dialogs. It's better to have a branded spell checking dialog than letting each and every spell checker use its own dialog. The user experience is much better when we allow to "brand" our dialog and keep the user interface consistent.
