Hi Peter,

in our company we are stumbling often about an incorrect page formatting.
Documents (created from a template) are filled from a JAVA Dialog, after that the page formatting is erroneous, means, after some paragraphs a page break occurs, though there is enough place for the following text.

Tools/Update/PageFormatting or update all doesn't help.

PageFormatting or updateAll do not re-calculate the layout, instead they only force a calculation of the invalid parts. In case the layout has already been calculated by the idle formatting process, PageFormatting doesn't do anything.

The following does help:
Storing the unnamed document without any modification and reloading it.

This of course forces a new calculation of the layout.

Of course I can put an example to Issuezilla, but as said, after loading all is correct.

Yes, this is a bug. Please file a bug.

Frank
