We had switched to SimpleHttpServer because of the http response code 202 from NIO and we are using filters to send request to SynapseAxisServlet.
The Synapse transports use NIO and are non-blocking is totally transparent to a client of Synapse and a server to which Synapse calls. Is it possible to send request to SynapseAxisServlet when on enabling NIO? Our application is internet based. ________________________________ From: Ruwan Linton [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, May 21, 2008 10:27 PM To: Venkatesan, Kumaran Cc: [email protected]; Pai, Harish; Panneerselvam, Velu Subject: Re: Synpase not sending 500 error code Hi Venkatesan, Yes of course. The fixes I did are all on the Nhttp (NIO) transport. BTW: I don't understand why you skip the NIO transport, I have also fixed some issues with 202 status code over the Nhttp transport, so may be the issues are fixed now. Can you please explain the reason why you switch to the SimpleHttpServer. Anyway this (SimpleHttpServer) is under axis2 and I think this also can handle the faults correctly (I mean with a 500 Internal Server Error). But I recommend to try Nhttp transport once again if you are not on a very tight schedule because these issues should be fixed on the Nhttp transport by now. We have tried the option mentioned in the below URL, but not working. http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/synapse-commits/200804.mbox/%3C [EMAIL PROTECTED] We are using SimpleHttpserver as receiver instead of HTTPCORENIO based. We have changed to SimpleHttpserver based, because the requirement is to deploy on webcontainer and to avoid http response code 202. The below is the config in axis2.xml. <transportReceiver name="http" class="org.apache.axis2.transport.http.SimpleHTTPServer"> <parameter name="port">8080</parameter> </transportReceiver> I think, the above fix will work only for NIO based request. ________________________________ From: Ruwan Linton [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, May 21, 2008 8:36 PM To: Venkatesan, Kumaran Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: Synpase not sending 500 error code Hi Venkatesan, You could get the latest synapse QA build from [1]. I have fixed this issue some time back and should be available with the 1.2 QA builds. Could you please try one of those if you are not trying those builds, or if you tried this on the QA builds and problem exists you can go ahead and file a JIRA for this. I would be happy to fix it :-) Thanks, Ruwan On Wed, May 21, 2008 at 5:02 PM, Venkatesan, Kumaran <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Synapse not sending the http status code as 500 for the soap fault message received from the back end service as below. 2008-05-21 18:00:56,237 [-] [WebContainer : 0] DEBUG content >> "</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>" 2008-05-21 18:00:56,237 [-] [WebContainer : 0] DEBUG EntityEnclosingMethod Request body sent 2008-05-21 18:00:57,010 [-] [WebContainer : 0] DEBUG header << "HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error[\r][\n]" By default synapse sends http response code 200 for all requests even for fault messages.
