Folks There has been a number of substantial changes to HttpCore in the trunk (4.2 branch), especially in the protocol handling code. Synapse has its own set of protocol handlers and is not affected by these changes, but I think you might still want to get a feel of the new API and see if it can be useful for Synapse.
This also may be the last chance to make major changes to the new interfaces and classes. If no one comes forth with new ideas and feedback on the new API the next release is likely to be 4.2-BETA1.
